About & contact image
Ever since I can remember I get locked within my mind, held captive by my own anxieties and thoughts. Resulting in being enchanted by the sounds, colors and moods whirling in the world around me. My hope as a creative is to shine a light on my imagination and authentic self in order to transport my viewer beyond the mundane surface of a picture into the gooey emotional chaos of my mind's eye. Painting acts like a lightning rod for my emotions, it allows me to channel them into something productive and cathartic. Each painting exists as its own love child; having its own individuality and unique beginning.

Over time I’ve let go of the tedious underpaintings I strived to emulate in the earlier years of my BFA, instead diving shape first into the pieces abstractly allowing for more of an expressive approach. One of my main goals with my work is to preserve the light that comes from inicial saturated washes. As I evolve, so do my works. And thus I paint for myself, in hopes of sharing my vulnerabilities with my fellow human beings through emotionally mundane snapshots of everyday life.

I am actively open for commissions, if you are interested in discussing a future work please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email: cheyenneearp@gmail.com
